Classes was suspended  in Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to heavy rain!

According to the report from Inquirer.net, Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim has ordered the suspension of several classes on Monday as rains poured continuously in various places around the city.

Memorandum Circular No. 32, s. 2012

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by storm “Gener,” work in government offices and classes in college level in the National Capital Region are hereby suspended today, 30 July 2012 from 2:30 p.m. onwards
However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.

  • Centro Escolar University - all levels (Manila, Makati, Malolos campuses)
  • Chiang Kai Shek College
  • Colegio de San Juan de Letran - all levels

  • De La Salle University (Dasmariñas, Taft, Makati, Ortigas campuses and College of St. Benilde) - Classes in all levels and all office operations suspended.
