Typhoon Karen Latest Update- September 15, 2012

According to the latest weather bulletin from PAGASA on September 14, Issued at: 11:00 p.m.Typhoon "KAREN" has maintained its strength and continues to move Northward over the Philippine Sea.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 15 - 30 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 550 km diameter of the Typhoon.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, seaboards of Southern Luzon, and over the eastern seaboard of Visayas due to big waves generated by Typhoon "KAREN".

"KAREN" will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring occasional moderate to heavy rains over Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA. Residents in these areas are advised to be alert against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Update for September 15, Satruday Issued at: 11:00 a.m. Typhoon "KAREN" will not directly affect the country as it continues to move towards the Southern island of Japan.
