Typhoon Auring PAGASA Latest Update

Today January 3, 2012 at 2:00 AM, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated in the vicinity of Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur (8.0°N, 126.0°E). Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon according to the latest weather update from PAGASA.

Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 250 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.


Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the eastern seaboards of the country and over the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon and over the western seaboard of Visayas and Mindanao due to the Tropical Depression.
